RCSO is an open-enrollment department covering rural and unincorporated Redwood County. No staff approval required — complete the onboarding flow autonomously and start patrolling immediately.

How to Join

  1. 1 Read the community Law Enforcement SOP in the Documents section
  2. 2 Pass the LE knowledge quiz (traffic law, use of force, radio, jurisdiction)
  3. 3 Accept the conditions of service agreement
  4. 4 Receive automatic duty access — callsign assigned on first clock-in

Rules & Guidelines

  • Supervisor ranks are RP-only — they hold no authority over other players.
  • Conditions of service must be maintained — violation results in access removal.
  • Jurisdiction is rural/county. City limits are NCPD's responsibility.
  • Multi-agency patrol available via CAD cert request.
